I always look forward to leaf peeping in the Fall in the Rocky Mountains when the quaking Aspen leaves in brillant golds, yellows and oranges shimmer in the breeze and sunlight against a backdrop of evergreen trees and the Colorado blue sky. This quilt was a labor of love as each small leaf was cut out, one at a time, from many different fabrics. Each one was stitched individually as part of the quilting stitches. This is probably my most popular quilt. It's image is printed on my coasters, magnets, notecards and art prints. I had to smile when I once heard a young girl describe this quilt as "the polka dot trees".
